But if that was accidental, you need to be able to hop on the rear wheel, first of all. When you can do that, you have to let the front wheel drop a little bit, put your butt back a bit, like you're crouching. Then, thrust your hips in a "humping the bars" motion, release the brake, and push down a little pedalkick. Then, while you're in the air, grab the brake, and do the crouch thing again, once you land, to cushion the fall. The key is practice.

yea that was a pretty good example i only learned how to trial hop properly about 3 weeks ago and i go for anything now i can trial hop properly and i find balancing on the back wheel easeir and trackstanding lol

Get someone to teach you. It helps a ton. I learned to lurch in about 2 weeks. I hopped on a friend's mod, he watched me and gave me tips for about 15 minutes, then I started to get it.
