Boulder is one of the places I'm considering going to college. I know its a great outdoor place. How is the area for trials? There is Horsetooth to the north, what else?

Also, how's the skiing in the immediate area? How far away from Vail and all that?

horsetooth is in fort collins, maybe an hour away.

eldora is close for skiing. vail/a basin/keystone/breck are all about 1.5-2 hours drive away.

campus is good for urban, there is good natty to ride about 10 minutes drive away from campus and another good spot about 20 minutes drive away.

I'd visit it first, boulder isn't for everyone. I fucking hate most of the toolbags who populate that section.

"oh bro i better get my clothes from the thrift store, daddy only gave me 4 grand this month :( "

yea it's quite a contrast from a place where the kids actually need to go to a thrift store for clothes... good ol' university of maine...

however, I would have been at boulder if my parents had moved out here a year earlier. If you can manage to ignore the other people around there (damn near impossible) ya might be able to get through...

:momaru:

an hour's drive to whatever you want to ski.

-and another note, I just moved to boulder, so if anyone wants to ride, I've got a pretty lax schedule.

yeah, i would also say it would be better to visit.

i dont exactly like the people in the town so much. the town itself is alright but really i think the benifits of boulder are really in the surrounding area. do come visit though, colorado is great. just finding the good spot for you here can be tricky.
