But don't start with : it's nice , nice paint job and that...... tell me if you think it's stiff , what do you think about the geometry ??
I wanna buy the V-brake version cause I don't have enough money for the a frame + magura brake so please concentrate on the v-brake version.

10x guys

yes we can all tell how stiff it is by the picture.... *sigh.. i hope ur trying to find out how stiff it is from people that have ridden it... i bet people will respond w/ their super leet internEt visual stress analysis numbers....

there surely is someone on this forum that know something about frames and capable of analysing it but anyway 10x

The geo for the mag. modell --- v-brake (if i not mistake)

Wheelbase: 1075 mm ---- 1065
Chainstay: 385 mm
Head tube angle: 72 deg.
BB rise: +15 mm ----- +5mm
Weight: ~1950 g

The real advantage for this frame is the price....

Well if I had the money I would certainly buy a BT ! but in Romania money don't come that easy :( so I'll buy for now this hungarian frame.

Buy the Magura version. It has better geo like (Hun)KMT said. Its BB rise is +15 mm (V-brake: +5 mm), Wheelbase 1075 mm (V-br: 1065)

The geo of the Magellan Tucana 2006 will be better. Chainstay: 380 mm, shorter seat tube and same wheelbase. But it will avaliable in april-may.

fuck there must be another $85 in your country somewhere that you can use to buy a magura?

I have to tell you that this is very very strong, nobody had any problems with it in Hungary. It is used two years ago. (i mean the 2004 modell). Koxx should copy it!!!! ;)

10x for your replies. your right about this it's very strong.how do you already know the 2006 geometry ??(just curious)
so the 2005 v-brake model has 1065 wheel base and 5mm rise ? and the magura has 1075 wheelbase and 15mm rise ??

I taught 2005 tucana was seatless??
anyway my friend has magellan tucana 2004 and its fine. he has no problems with the der. hanger also.

why is there difference between v-brake and magura mounts frames?(if I understood that corectly) it makes no sense.
p.s. Id go magura mounts DEFINITELY. +15mm BB sounds better :)

yeah, the magura mount frame has much better trials geo. plus it's not gay. how much are these bikes? i read and didn't see a price listed, sorry if I missed it. just wonderin because I think you could do better somewhere else. more trials specific geo. the v-brake version kinda looks like my old norco two50. hehe

The mag version is about 200 euro, the v-brake version is a little bit cheaper.

I mistook, the type of the hanger has been used for 3 years....

CPHUN knows geos very much. He knows something about the 2006 geo..., i think that what i wrote is true, I'm a little bit insecure with that +5mm BB rise.

I don't have enough money to buy a lot of parts now cause I need a lot of stuff but I wanted to know if there's any geometry difference between the two frames.and if the wheelbase is 1065 on the v-brake model and 1075 on the magura version I'll definetly buy the magura version cause I heard that it has a stiffer chainstays . isn't that right ?

from what ive heard the magellan seem really nice for the price. go buy if u cant afford a more expensive frame

eXtreme_one
07-06-2005, 04:57 PM
there's a problem cause I don't have good parts like a freewheel or KKhub or a decent frame (tucana 2003 sucks but for my level when I bought it ,it was great) so I'll buy a cheaper but nice geometry frame for now and buy good parts (try-all ,echo and koxx ) and after I have a freewheel and nice wheels I'll buy a BT frame or an echo.:)

Buy the mag version. Now you have to pay 10000 times less money for that... :p. I hope you understand. :)
