I got the 05 zoo pitbull 1090 today, and held it up to my 04 zoo 1060, and only noticed about like 2 cm difference? that's makes it a 1080mm? not a 1090mm? I tried to measure the wheel base with a old knifen lite fork on it and it was around 1080mm and a little more.... not 1090. anyone that's got the same frame, how long is ur wheel base? this is weird... is it not a real 1090?

by 05 you mean the newest version with the cnc side plates?
that model is suppose to be 1080, with the same front end as the 04 1090 but shorter chain stays.:wiggle:

the kniffen fork is where your shorter wheelbase is coming from. put an urban fork on it and i bet it measures out to 1090.

yeah ben, I measure the front, it's same length as the older 1090, but the stays are 10mm shorter.... so I guess it's more like a 1080.

i have 05 zoo 1060, but i have noticed that its 1065 with urban fork, so i guess the 1080 should have 1085 wb maybe

ok, I put the knifen lite on properly and measured the wheelbase, as in I didn't just let it sit in the headtube and measure. the wheelbase is only 1075mm. and then with my cheap chromo fork with same rake as the norco evolve fork, it's only 1070mm. and slap the urban on, and it is 1080mm. so I guess its really a 1080mm.... not a 1090.

it doesnt pose a problem does it?
you have a frame that has a rooted headtube, so your whelbase is never going to be right :)
just ride the bike
bent forks also contribute to +/- wheelbase measurements - thought i dont think a knifen would be a fork that would bend
edit: ...ahahahaa my pitbull measures out to 1090! :P
