This is a note I got from an old biketrials friend, Andy "AT" Trickel. Can anyone help out?

Hi,

How've you been? I been good, really busy with work, house and developing a cabin and land near Nevada City. Haven't ridden a trials bike in awhile, still ride mtbs and road bikes tho. Kinda miss the whole trials family, but life goes on.

I received a call from a fellow that I used to work with, Paul Silva, he is putting on the Fairfax mountain bike festival and was looking for some help with a trials demo. He has Hans Rey coming to do his thing, but Hans' truck of trials shapes is not coming along. So Paul is looking for some help setting up a demo area. I don't know what Paul has to ride on, probably safe to say that some stuff may need to be brought in for the event. It takes place on july 16 and 17, not much time for planning. Do you know anyone who might be interested? I am too busy to make a for sure commitment at this time.

Paul can be reached at marinadventures@earthlink.net . Please pass this along to anyone who is interested.

Thanks,

Andy

this Elen ride's for money I see :slap:
I have some specimens like you here in Romania but you should know that this mentality sucks !! you started trials because you liked (at least i hope u did) not because you were getting any money from it asshole.
get a job if u want money and RIDE TRIALS FOR FUN !!!!!!!!!!

that was like an advice !! cause if you ride only for money you'll ride trials for that !! I have some friends here that were very skillful but they quited trials cause they couldn't find any more demos to ride so that ment no more money (not that they didn't have enough money keep their bikes at a decent level to ride).

it's your choice do what you want.....

I'm sure you can make a show even if you don't do 3meters gap and drops but if you make yourself a course and ride spectacular ( let's say you put 6pallets and the 9 and pedal kick from one to another it's more spectacular if you would put 6 to 10-11 pallets and barely do the gap and maybe fall).I hope you got the point ...... if you rear wheel 6pallets with ease it's no sense putting at a demo 7pallets and climb them 3 of 10 tries. The public will not notice the 1pallet difference but they'll notice the nice move you did. You have to use your imagination and create a spectacular trials course and the public will love you.
Here in Romania we have a club (Velociped) and we don't ride as good as Vince or many other foreign riders but with did a lot of shows and many people loved it and were amazed of what you can do on a bike.
