Sorry if this has been posted before but i searched and didn't find anything.
My first thoughts were cool but looking at again the drilling of the sidewalls on the front rim i think is a bit overkill and the rear triangle looks quite funny.
What are your thoughts on this?
Cheers,
Alex

the more i look at that pic the uglier it gets. it's like the bike was too low profile for the dropouts - "we just found 5000 old dropouts we had in the back room of the factory, if we turn them up the other way they'll fit good as!"

not sure which is worse.. left overs, or actually making new ones that look like that.
anyone know the price of these beasts?

looks like you could take off your chain without breaking it...
personally i like it just for the fact that it's trying something different. doesnt mena i would buy one but i like that it isnt a cookie cutter of everything else.

I think Onza is the only company thats trying to be inovative and come up with differnt designs(well for the most part) than say all the other companies that tweek the current versions of what work's (if it aint broke?)good to see that someone's thinking about design and not being stagnant. I'd rock that stock frame for surezzzz

the chainstays are to protect the chain also they are not going to make either of the frames

I like the brake mounts on the stock but the mod chainstays..... :greddy2:
Id hit both of those frames, id like to try both.

they both look great to me.

I also like the idea that there are companies who think of innovations and not just try to change something optically in order to sell more frames. I think that frame makes much more sense than the frames with CNC holes after the steering tube.

looks like you could take off your chain without breaking it... Yep, thats an advantage.
The chain tensioners are something I suggested to Mike (Poyzer, owner of Onza) sometime at the end of last summer. Good to see its been put to use!

yea those bikes are pretty sick..... chain tensioner is simple yet genious cuz all other ones ( ehem.... echo) suck then dont ever work! and yea teh rear triangle is a little trippy and the fork looks flimsy but i agree its someting different and id liek to see it over in the states

I think that built in tensioners are a very cool idea. The chainstays, while very ugly, are very VERY practical for a mod. I can def. see the advantage of having chainstays like that. ALso....it would help eleminate chainslap (the new zoos seem to have a huge prob with that, so my friends telll me.)
Yaay onza for being creative......I wonder if the welds will hold up on this batch.....no amount of positive engineering can make up for poor production.

I like them, the chain stay idea is really neat. However, would you bash up the stays easier? Either way I would ride them.

I dont like the look of the mod at all, or the chain tensioner:dunno: btw, how do you get a wrench on the lock nut?
I like how this one you can use your fingers, this is from a Paul mod.

So, is it true the danny butler model wont be made?

They're both in the prototyping testing stages now. Danny's riding his, Ben's theoretically riding the mod. I think they'll probably be made seeing as Ben's making a signature frame (as is Danny), but they'll just be altered...

I like the rear pentagon. That stock looks really nice also.

the mod looks pretty sweet to me, that's a creative idea and I like the 'not having to break the chain' thing
you could use a socket wrench to tighten the tensioners no?

That mod makes a lot of sense. I think they're onto something, how long will it be until we see CNC'd chainstays, from dropout to yoke? This thing is almost there now,,,

Has anyone noticed how onza can't weld for shit?, their welds are ugly, and some frames of mates of mine have snapped when doing 3 foot drops, it's loonies...

I like my bikes affordable and my crashes non-devastating. Tubing is good, however dull.

Really?
Actually i think the Ruthless uses a monocoque structure or is it machined? And besides, that don't count cause they only mad summat like 5 bikes.
I'm talking about a one piece dropout/stay/yoke welded to actual seattubes and a bb shell. This frame is almsot there, i mean a couple more inches of length on the drops and you could connect 'em directly to the yoke.
Yes tubes? What's that?
