Just out of curiosities sake, what kind of personal info did you find out about some of the pros? What is their training like? How often, bike only or lifting too, etc.? What kind of equipment preferences do they have (reliability vs. weight or performance)? That kind of stuff.

what kind of trials faggot talks about gay bike things when you are at a bike camp?
no one. I learned alot about some pros, nothing to do with training. except for kenny, and he swore me to secrecy about his lifting regiment and nutrition.
i can see it now..
"hey benito, do you think that 7/8" drill is more strongar than 1"? DURRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHH"
benito- "que? "
Jesus prefers sandals over try-all shoes, he uses nails instead of try-all bars. his training regimen includes: climbing to the top of mountains then talking for a long time, cragging and climbing huge 't' shaped poles, and walks on teh beach.. he uses pretty rudimentary methods, but it seems to work for him.
He likes spatzle... mmmm spatzle.

Not to give away too many secrets, but Jesus definitely prefers to listen to some metal before riding...Sabbath and Slayer usually.

damn.. elan or andy't post some ironic/sarcastic/funny stuff, and then the others think "cool, I don't know much about trials or anything related to the pros training methods.. but I can make a funny post too..great!"
I mean when you got the chance to meet a pro like Vincent in colorado or whatever... or meet them at the koxx days.. it would be nice if you could share your experiences/knowledge with us.
And it's not about knowing what underwear Vincent uses, how often he has a power fuck or whatever.. I think it's cool to know something about their training etc... And if you know some "euro secrets" then share them instead of making fun of this whole topic..
what do you want to know... pretty much andrew covered this whole topic with his first sentence. but i will tell you what i know.
Chris

sorry but I think it's pretty dumb to always make fun of it when people want to know which parts the pros are using, how they train or whatever..
yea there are people who give a shit about pros training methods etc.. they prefer to party with them after the comp or whatever.. but I think trials is sport where you can get really close to the riders, talk to them, ride with them and most important learn from them. I mean where else in sports do you have this option?
i wasnt searching for a thesis on the importance of trials componentry and hte accessibility of top pros.
i asked what you wanted to know, if it is a sensable question, ill answer it to the best of my knowledge, maybe other people will do the same, and im sure youre going to get 3 pages of people arguing.
but asking a vague generality of "personal info" and training regimens isnt going to get a person a whole lot. for many reasons, you want a list?
ask away i say

holy shit
its KOXX DAYS
waht the fuck kind of parts do you think they run? Echo? NO, whatever koxx gives them and makes them ride. You think anyone got trusting enough or close enough to these guys in a few days for them to break their sponsorship contract and hear what they REALLY think about certain parts?
Benito likes the big riser bar. Kenny trains 4 hours a day, and he has a personal trainer. He lifts alot. He said that when you sleep you are dead. He also ate 6-7 pieces of bread with lots of jam on each one. Benito takes lots of chocolate milk for his cereal, warm chocolate milk. He also eats a lot. Some people think benito might honestly be gay, he is a little touchey feely. He speaks almost no english. Vincent likes to say nigger. Trials is really gay in america. Kenny has fantastic english. He also trains very hard to ride smoothly, and doesn't like ugly riding. He has a record carbon derailler, which fell off like every 3 seconds. Serg is vincents trainer, we were trained by him. He has interesting things to teach, some stuff I've never tried. Vincents pooop was a little green on the fourth day, we had a chat. Shaun miller is good at having his girlfriend stiff you with the bar tab.
but hey guess what. Unless you have a time machine and go ride since you were 9 years old no amount of knowledge will help you one bit so stop asking questions.

:bowrofl: thanks Andy, that was funny!
But: I didn't make this thread and I actully didn't ask any questions.. I just wanted to say that it's dumb to always make fun of things written here..
We all know that they use koxx/tryall stuff.. but when they have some new stuff on their bikes which aren't available yet or whatever, it would be interesting to get some details..
For some people training methods, parts etc. is a serious interesting topic. And maybe there are people on here who always wanted to know what milk Benito is having with his cereals, but they're afraid of asking it cause there is Andy or whoever making fun of it and not giving a shit :D

Who said anything about the information being helpful? I know you didn't go to ask people gay fucking questions, but I thought maybe when you were riding with Kenny or Vince you might notice something odd about their setup and ask why. I understand what you mean though about not wanting to start a long stupid thread because people can't take info like that with a grain of salt.
Chris

yea.. and better close the whole forum because knowledge doesn't help us. Let's have some cereals with chocolate milk and go out riding.

my post wasn't meant to be funny, that was all the information i know about those guys. None of it was made up either if you thought I was doing that. When i "rode" with them I just concentrated on filming. Encoding takes forever.

He lifts alot. He said that when you sleep you are dead.
Kenny lifts alot of what? I think you mean "weights"?
Thanks for your patience in answering, but did Kenny elaborate on why he thought humans are "dead" when they are asleep?
I only ask because i think its wise to have some sort of knowledge on the belief systems of the best trials riders in the world.

04-03-2005, 05:50 PM
Means he lifts a lot of wieghts and by the end of the day he is "dead" tired.
AndyT
04-03-2005, 07:11 PM
nothing to do with dead tired, his comment was a reply to benito sleeping into 1 or 2 pm. Yeah in american "lifts" means work out, which is something that no europeans or british people do from my observation. You are dead when you sleep because you are missing hte world.

I remember a previuos thread about vince, he does not weight train, he does free-weight training, he drinks milk combined with orange juice, he never says,"want to ride?", he says,"want to train?", he only trains on natural, and rides urban for fun.
Thats all I know, he also wears boxer-briefs.
Peace

seems like kenny is the most determined out of the lot? good to hear he still likes to be smooth whilst riding (shows in the vids)
do they scrunch or fold when they wipe their asses?
Peace

I'd love to see a comp, and Vince competing in the sport(or beginner) section. he'll be done in under a minute.
