its 72......
the reason they have 91, is because after about ~60 engagement points, the degree of rotation at the pedal is sooooooooo small, that it doesnt make a difference if you have 60 or 200 engagement points. at this point, what makes the better hub isnt which one engages faster. stop worrying about engagement points, worry about engagement quality. kenney bealaey rides some edco rear hub, i imagine it might have 40 EP's, doubt it though. how long did vincent ride a acs claws? right
So is it 72? Elan is making me really confused. I think it's 73.

It is 72. However the egagement also heavily depends on what gear ratio you use. That's why most mtb/road cyclists don't need many egagements as they always use much higher gear ratios than we do.
