Ok, so i got my new Level Boss frame besides, switching over most of my other parts from my old frame it hasent been too much of a pain, except.... My rear magura HS33's. ive tried everything.... new pads, pushed the cylinder as far out as it will go, i tried bleeding the brakes a million times, i even shaved off the little piece on the side of the 4 bolt mounting brackets (just to get that little extra centimeter.) im running a mammoth wheel in the rear. and im still having problems getting the grip i used to have on my old frame. has anyone else experienced this problem, or does anyone else have any solutions on how i can get the thing to grip the way i want it to?

how wide is the Mammoth wheel? a friend had a similar problem, but switched his rim.. that might be the case, but he went from a rhyno light to a DX32.
a wider rim might be the only option. perhaps not though.

ya try a wider rim, if its direct mounts then the frame was most likley designed around a wider rim. i couldn't run my 521 when i got direct mounts so i built dx32 and it worked great .
good luck
seeing how the LB was made for a rim twice as wide as the mammoth, a wider rim is going to be your only reasonable option.

I heard some jive about attaching an extra backing to your pad so it sticks out more. Somebody did this with a mavic rim I think.

Yeah, frames are made for rims no narrow than a dx32, unless you're running 10mm thick pads. I run a 28mm wide d521 rim, and had to do the pad bodge, screwing an extra backing to the back of the magura pads. Presto. That's your only option if you don't want to get a new rim.

I didn't have to do this when I ran the 10mm thick Heatsink pads, but the new versions of them are 8mm thick.

I have a megamo rim in my basement waiting to be built. I'm just too lazy right now. When I get my new pads I'll build it up, I don't feel like drilling them when they come in, and they'll probably be too thick to be used with a double backing anyway.

I'm having the same problem with the Pitbull I just got. Hopefully bleeding/new pads will solve it. I've already got a DX32. That extra pad backing is looking good though.
