Ive just put my magura on (4 bolt) and i had to get some new bolts and i had lost the other ones. The ones that i got were rounded off very badly as i was tightening it up.
Any suggestions of how to get them out??
thanks

heads or threads? If just the bolt heads are rounded out then you can try hacksawing a screwdriver slot into the top. If that doesn't work then just cut/grind/file/dremel the bolt heads off and just unscrew the remainder of the bolt shaft after you take the brake assembly off, should be able to use fingers/pliers OK.
In future use bolts with 4mm heads (this seems to be the standard for aftermarket m5 bolts that I've found), not the 5mm headed bolts which come with magura evolution kits. There isn't enough material in the bolthead to make the 5mm ones strong enough. I presume that's what you used. Hi-tensile steel or stainless steel bolts are what you want. Look in the yellow pages or equivalent for "bolts" or "fasteners" or whatever.

I would also look into why they were rounded off in the first place. Make sure you tighten both bolts evenly, otherwise you can bottom out those gray half round brackets. Also make sure you put a coating of grease on the threads of the bolts. Also be careful of those threads in the frame, remeber you're putting a steel bolt into much softer cut aluminum threads. The first thing that happened to my Echo when I took it out of the box was this- I squeezed the brake lever, which collapsed right to the bars. I first figured that the bolts were just loose, so I tried to tighten them, but they just kept spinning around. The threads pulled right out of the frame. I ended up having to Heli-coil them and they've been fine since. Granted, I probably should have warranteed the frame, but I was excited to have it and wanted to ride and I knew those heli-coils would be stronger then original anyway. Good luck-

Thanks for your suggestions, I took it to my local bike shop and they seemed to get the rounded bolts out within about 20mins or so. The bolts which were in there previously were alluminuim thats why they rounded so easily. But no ive got some steel ones.
