Hey guys just wanted to find out some info on some disk brakes, Im after a rear set up disk brake. I was running some cheap dice disk brakes on my megamo that cost me bout $500 and they were bloddy awsome i have had them for bout 8months nd havnt touched them once and work extremly well in all conditions.
So now im after some new brakes for my Monty's and wanted somthing a bit lighter then the dice. I found the Marta on the front of them is shit, the leaver pumps up and the pads move in the caliper and just dont work near as well as me dice also the marta is slightly spongey feelin like a hs33 where as the dice were rock solid like my moto brakes wich is wat i like.
Question is "What are a couple of good reliable brakes that feel nice and solid and are reasonably light?" Is ther such thing? I have tryed researching but just cant find much, does any one no the weight of the dice brakes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Jack

You can get them from the uk for about $100 an end i think. Everything else is shit. Get one. Decent lever and they feel as good as a hydraulic anyway.

the avid mechs seriously don't feel much like cables... they lock when u want, but give u enough modulation for nose wheelies and gapping and stuff.
there's only one guy in town who uses a hope mini and he complains almost every other ride that he wishes he could get an avid mech.
