Huge Group ride @ Ray's

I remember you were having shoulder issues, I hope it's getting better, it sounds like it is.

Planning on riding Saturday for sure, and probably a little on Sunday depending on my constitution.

I am taking a "real" bike to check out the North shore stuff as well. (unless I get scared. :eek3danc: )

To me its a little sad, I'm not bashing Ray's nor Ray himself, but to blow up the Trials Event for this Feb. and then cancel it, then to put a Jump contest in its place.
I just wonder how many people bought tickets or reserved a room for the initial trials event they where harping on?

Bottom line is Money, I'm sure there is a lot of over-head, But I liked the one comment I read (Trials is the Bastard sport of the biking community) How true!

But anyhows, I can hop around my garage and mumble to my self, Ot Pi does not Five.

im surprised no one has mentioned the foam pit that's replacing the trials area.. or at least taking a chunk out of the 10 feet jam packed with 2 benches and a big box.. yey indoors..

ray's cool if after your long drive you pull a MTB outta your car.. but otherwise i got a million other places i would drive forever to ride trials..

" Hello,
Myself and a few others ( from out of town) plan on visiting on the
weekend of February 5th to ride trials. I\'m just checking to see if the
trials area will be available, before during after the jumping thing.

"Hey Ben, The trials area is out of the way, we should be fine. Lenowski has
been here several times and will be here on the 5th. See ya on the 5th, Ray"


Looks like we're good to go, is anyone else going ?

I'm pretty sure he means Jeff Lenosky. I did read a thing on pinkbike somewhere that mentioned Lenosky and Aaron Chase and Eric Porter and a few other big DVD riders that were going to Ray's for the jump-o-rama.

Paul, are you in the western hemisphere? If so, you should go.

haha yep, Alex and I are still in Chicago, dying to ride. hmmm maybe Alex and I will take a trip to this Rays park thing sometime relatively soon.


P.S. I was kidding about the lenosky thing haha I grew up watching him ride.

Yeah I think Alex and I are going down the weekend after.

Isaac - Alex and I will definately be at your comp. We wouldnt miss it after last year. We should get together and ride before then though, maybe we can get something going at Perdue with Duncan and Roman? Or you are welcome up here in Chicago again, or something else who knows. The fact is we need to ride again.

Lenosky still does trials demos he just rides street all the time now. He is so awesome haha
