I made the mistake by starting to play around using clipless. I`d like to know if it will be a lot harder to start learning on flat pedals now, and if their is a good strategy to use so i can get better. I have to start all over with all of my skills and I need to now where to start and what to practice first.

I learned the same way. start with the basics - correction hops, pivots and trackstands. Now that you arent physically attatched to the bike you will have to worry a lot more about where on the bike your weight is. To pivot the back you will have to lean a lot further forward for instance. A lot of the basic techniques are the same, just that the center of mass is going to have to be different.
Dont worry about it too much - like most things in trials it will become easier with time and practice.

Spend a little while doing regular bunny hops (both wheels off the ground at the same time) in a parking lot or something. After a while you'll get how to pivot your feet so they grip the pedals. Before long it will become automatic.
Good Luck

Move to a higher elevation. We have slightly less gravity ,which is why colorado has such good riders.

really, the best way to learn is put them on your bike, and go ride....i bet within 2 hours your confident on them, and within a few days.....youll be better than you are w/ your clipless

When I switched to platforms (back in my freeride days), the differance was incredible. It only takes a couple of days to get used to them, and it doesn't feel like walking on golf balls.

I have cheap wellgo's, I dunno if those are the ones or not. Wellgo's are pretty much the most recommended brand of flat pedals (asides from atomlabs, if you're a fucking tank).

i remember when i FIRST got into trials, i had these really old strap-in toe clips..... I didn't know better, so i practiced trying to bunny hop over curbs or tiny rocks with them on... I never fell and hurt myself, but i don't think you want to learn that way, because when you get really good, you will have to dab and bail in ways that toe clips will restrict you from.
Use Double caged or platform pedals like everyone else i guess. You will get used to them just like i did.
