I am looking at a 2001 monty 230 frame that I think i can get cheap but one thing that is getting me is that they said that it is set up for monty's 25" wheel in the rear. does that mean that i can not use a 26" wheel at all? also would this be a good frame to start on?

Its a good frame to start on but having to use the monty 25" rim really sucks. The 25" rim is weak as piss, dents easily and the spokes pull through the rim very quikly. Although I think there may be a few rims that fit the frame..... the dice smo rim fits I'm pretty sure. Apart from the hassle of the 25" rim the frame is great for starting out on and can take a beating.

how much is it? if the frame is under $100 go for it. if not, save yourself time/money and get a real frame. i.e BT, Echo, Koxx, Zoo, Coustellier, blah blah blah

its very easy to run a 26" rim. get a vp pedal and make yourself an adapter. go to www.trials-forum.co.uk (http://www.trials-forum.co.uk) and look this monty 25" rear wheel stuff up and you will find your answer

ok so IF i read this right for the search on the forum. A 26" rear wheel will fit no problem but it is the brakes lineing up that is the problem and I will need to make adapter plates that will make the hs33 work?

Because Monty wants to sell their 25" tire.
