Should I be worried with stress to the wheel, fork, bars, stem, headset, hands, wrists, arms, or shoulders when learning frontwheel gaps? I am especially worried about going from backhop and doing a long downgap. (Like the one in kevin's unfinished coustellier video)

If so, is there anything I can do technique or equipment-wise to alleviate some of this stress?

try not to slam into the face of hte obstacle youre going to :dunno:

it is going to make drastic forces, nothing you can do about it really., you will get smoother over time, but there is still going to be huge forces at work here.

forks and bars are going to be your weak points. but i have never heard of anyone breaking anything doing front wheel moves. hooks and gaps break more stuff.

Haha ok, what exactly were they asking you to do??

Back on topic, every time I do a front wheel move I freak out about my forks snapping. This usually makes me not want to try big moves to front wheel. Its all about the fear.

Just practice gaps to front wheel. It will be rough at first, but you'll get smoother over time. Besides, what trials moves aren't hard on your bike and body? Just ride, and accept that stuff might break. It's part of the sport.
