Tore my old wheel down finally the other day. Took my hub, spokes and nipples to work and laced, dished, tensioned, and trued a new DX rim. Used the nipple box marked with pen and laying the wheel on each side flat on my desk. Almost like working back in a shop again.. only getting paid more to build my own parts.
It's been ground and ridden.. not a hair out of true. FUCK break-in time. I LOVE this rim. Still needs to get drilled... STIFF ASS WHEEL.
DX laced to my Hadley up front there soon too.. hopefully another relaxing day at work.

is that the hadley 108 pt? how do you like it? do you have experience on a king as well to be able to give a comparison?Yeah.. it's the 108.. the engagement is about as instant as it gets. It's good and bad depending on what you like. Some like the little bit of torque with the extra spacing on the King. I liked riding the Kings that I have though. I'd take either evenly...
nice one sir... :)Always good to see you're still alive Phil. Still hoping to get down that way again soon for a ride.
that frame is sooo 2002Yeah.. I sob every night in my pillow about it.. The new one is pretty fucking sick... it's grown on me.. always loved the look of my old dirty model though.
Build that new one!
Thanks for the rest of the comments.. old school thanks to Andrew for getting rid of this shitty brand new frame.
