I would like to start working on dates for the Trials comp in May 2005, looking at about the 3rd weekend, but would like input from you, the riders!
I would like to have flyers ready for (Ray's Trials Comp) in Feb. to be handed out.

Also, Its unofficial but we may have a event at (The BadLands) in the middle of April.

Ideas would be appreciated,

Sam

This will once again be a NORBA sanctioned event.

Camping is cool!

Recieved permission today for land use at the Warsaw grounds.

Which day is better, Saturday or Sunday?

I'd say Sunday cause lots of people work on Saturday and If i were you I'd make the event earlier so people who live far away have time to get home.

I'll be there. It was awesome last year, and I'm sure it will be even bigger and better this year.

I think if it was earlier on sunday or anytime on saturday so there would be time to travel. I like the saturday idea better but if more people would come on sunday then thats cool.

What do you guys think of having a two day event?

I'll have to speak to Issac, but someone mentioned by having a two day we would draw more riders!

Besides, the place is real nice for camping.

I would think that a two day event would draw people from a little further away.

For one day events I prefer Saturday over Sunday. For those of us who work week days it is more convenient because it allows travel on Friday evening and Sunday morning so we are able to make it back to work on Monday.

If you had a two day event then I would prob attend just one day. You save the tape for the BadLands event ;)

I would love a 2 day event because you can never ride too much.

paul, yeah! we should definately try to get some riding in this spring. I'd be into meeting in chicago for a ride some time... the only thing is I've got a super full race schedule plained... maybe I should just not go to a few.. any way let me know if you want to ride! sundays are good for me. have you ever ridin at the bad lands? we should try to ride there. what kind of drive is that for you?

About the classes I will say this... pro is going to be hard... not like last year (modifide expert sections) duncans not going to clean eveything! (I hope)
actually all classes will be a bit harder then last year.

Sam and I are already talking about what we're going to set up.

I dont know how far badlands is from me. depending on the riding I am up for the drive.

I hope pro will be hard. because duncan just embarassed everyone...you ass (P.S. I got your phone call and you need to get back up to Naperville)....haha no I am just kidding, but are there going to be the same arena (man made) sections like there were last year?

NOOOO!!!! There is a wota event that weekend. At my house to. This sucks, hopefully the schedule will change (wota).

Hopefully there will be another event in warsaw later in the year if i dont make it to this one, because that place was awesome! Harder sections are a must.

badlands is pretty cool. shit load of rocks and stuff.
check out romans pics in his gallery.
it would be fun to get a group ride set up there.

the sections are all going to be defrent then last year. but the syle of them will probably be close to last year. I think we're going to have another stadium sections out front like we did last year.

thats not good theres a wota that week end... sam won't be happy.
hopefully they'll change it....?

Ok Badlands is wide open for April. So we can put up an even there with no sweat. Insurance will be covered by the park usage fee, so no need to sweat it.

Sam, get in touch with me about this

Glad to hear it Pat, so will see you and Peter at the event?

Remember, there is a large area for camping and will have a huge campfire/cookout Saturday night!

The Mountain bike park should have showers installed by then.

The first two weekends are booked for me, but if the Badlands event must be held during that time period, I make sure the tape, supplys and awards will be there, no problem.:)

I got a fold out couch and an appt 3mins away from all the local campus pubs. Plus I am 30mins away from Badlands

The badlands event could be a two day deal with BBQ and beer in between the days. Since that month (April 23/24) is wide open I think we should probably stick with the end of the month to increase the chances of good weather. If there are no objections in the next few days I will get in touch with the management and get the ball rolling for those days.
