I mostly ride street but also a lot of trials and some dirt. I need a universal bike. I have an Author A-gang P.M. frame with 42cm long rear triangle. Now I know I need something shorter, especially when I'm doing pedal-kicks or bunny to manuals..... I'm looking for the right frame geometry for me. I can have a custom build frame for me. I thought about Norco Moment geometry.....what do you think. Also check out author bikes at www.author.cz (http://www.author.cz) - there an A-gang A.M frame looks nice too..... Please help..........

PM oicdn.

Seriously though, if you can get a custome frame why not get one with the same geo as the Author but with shorter stays like you wanted.

I want to ride a moment, Norco is Back ordered on those till February. A Specialist is a good choice, but not available till march unless you get one used. Dreambike right now is having a sale on the Stud Muffin (http://www.dreambike.com/ours.htm). It's the Specialist when it had the trials, short, and long geometry. It was also when Ventana made Ellsworths frames, so they're of higher quality then the current frames of Ellsworth. Also, it's only $500, as compared to $795.

The .243 SL is a good choice....well right now it looks to be one. 6 lbs frame. 71 degree HA with a 4in fork, 15.5 stays, 22 TT....I'm gonna give that a shot as most distributors are sold out of DMRs and a 72 HA should be pretty nice (3in fork).

Hahaha, yeah, right now, I'm still "searching" for a frame that feels good. No sense in having a pretty bike that you can't do anything with....

What about a Planet-X? I think a Jack Flash sounds like a good fit for what you want.

I second the Jack Flash. You will definetlely like it for urban, but you'll still be able to use if for trials. Are you planning on a rigid fork or suspension?
