I just invested half my left arm in a good long (128) ISIS BB, and it looks like my future is gonna be in FFW cranks (if those 72 white ones work out).
So my question is; do they use ISIS drive? or at least can they?

What are some good ones I wonder, those Echo ones dont look to shabby..?

Yeah, you can use ISIS with the freewheels you just have to make sure you have a spindle width of around 128mm so you don't have to grind down the removal teeth on the freewheel (ala Monty). I love my Tryall ISIS cranks but of course I'm not the most objective source. Come on peps out there, back me up on this one.

The Tryall ISIS look like the right choice for me, but for options sake, do you guys predict there will be more ISIS FFW cranks comming out in the near future?

There might be.....I was talking with white industries and Doug was really interested in the workings of a front freewheel crank setup.....they just came out with a single speed ISIS crank set. A possible front freewheel crank could be in the distant future.

hey graham...would the 127.5 wide square taper BB work with my monty xlite so I wouldn't have to grind off the removal tabs?

you wanna stay away from super wide bb's on mods, because they will fuck your chain line up. then you'll be in snap, crackle, pop city........

grinding the removal tabs will give you another 2-3 mm on the drive side which has the same efectiveness as a bb that is 4-6mm longer.
